At Ray Westall’s Brinks Brangus™ Annual Sale in Arabella, New Mexico, we found our new herd sire, Legacy 302A4. He is stout and deep bodied. A bull that will definitely add pounds to calves. One of the best bulls that we’ve ever seen. Domestic semen is available now. We are glad to own him with The Oaks and High Rock Farm.
We will be having the Jackson County Cattlemen’s Association Field Day at our farm in Flat Rock, Alabama. It’s going to be a really fun day. We will be starting the day at 9:30 a.m. central standard time. We will have coffee and donuts for all the visitors. We want everyone to come out and look at some great brangus cattle. We are in the process of building a new donor flushing barn so we want people to have a look at it. Purina Animal Nutrition will be here to talk about some of their products such as Accuration and Wind & Rain Minerals. Erik Niel who is the owner/chef of Easy Bistro and Main Street Meats located in Chattanooga, Tennessee will be talking about the importance of quality beef. He should know because Main Street Meats was just voted one of the Top Ten Burgers in Chattanooga. Then we will finish the day with Ribeye Steak Sandwiches. Everyone please come out and see these great cattle! The address here at the farm is 22015 AL Highway 117, Flat Rock, AL 35966. If anyone needs directions or additional info, please give me a call at 256-242-3124.
